TYPES OF GLASS

Frosted glass

Reduces the sun’s glare, filtering light away during the day and keeping the cold out during the winter season. This helps it keep the indoor temperature consistent throughout the winter and summer months, helping conserve energy. Adds privacy to windows or doors that would otherwise be transparent.

Low E glass

The Low-E coating reflects heat back to its source so it helps your home stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The coating won’t scratch off because it is applied to the inside of the glass. Helps keep unwanted UV rays out of your home that can damage your skin and furniture. It also helps control the amount of infrared light that enters and leaves the room. Windows without low-e won’t be able to effectively keep harmful light out of your home which can contribute to higher energy bills.

Laminated glass

Window is excellent break-in protection. Breaking through laminated glasswindows requires time, effort and  noise and does not shatter when broken.

Installing a thick piece of laminated glass causes noise waves to become disrupted when they travel through the material, helping to reduce noise pollution. Increased safety: As the glass doesn’t shatter when broken, there is a reduced risk of someone being cut or injured by shards of glass. It tends to remain intact, protecting interiors from flying glass, flying projectiles and other damage.
